Daywise break-up
Day 1 – You arrive in Mumbai, the commercial capital of India. As you go through the clearance process at the airport and head out, I shall be greeting you there and driving you to the nearest hotel for your night stay and relaxation.
We leave for Nagpur (1hr 25mins flight) after lunch and from there head to our 1st destination, Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve in an airconditioned SUV and catch up on some sleep to be rejuvenated for the next 9 days of adventure.
Day 2/3/4/5/6 We will be on game drives in the forest for the next 5 days. 2 game drives per day 4 hrs each (morning and evening)
Day 7. We leave early in the morning for our next destination, Pench National Park and reach there within 4.30 hrs. You can rest for a few hours and then begin the next game drive in the afternoon. We will be doing a total of 6 game drives in this park.
Day 7/8/9/10. On day 10 after our morning game drive we leave for Nagpur airport (2 hrs drive) and then for Mumbai. You will be checked in to a hotel in Mumbai for your onward international flight back home.
Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve -
Tadoba Andhari Reserve is the largest national park in Maharashtra. The total area of the reserve is 625.4 square kilometres (241.5 sq mi). This includes Tadoba National Park, with an area of 116.55 square kilometres (45.00 sq mi) and Andhari Wildlife Sanctuary with an area of 508.85 square kilometres (196.47 sq mi). The reserve also includes 32.51 square kilometres (12.55 sq mi) of protected forest and 14.93 square kilometres (5.76 sq mi) of uncategorised land.
Tadoba has the highest density of Tigers across all wildlife sanctuaries in India.
Apart from Tigers, Tadoba is home to a high density of Indian leopards, Sloth bears, Gaur, Nilgai, Wild Dogs, Striped Hyena, Small Indian Civet, Jungle Cats, Sambar, Spotted Deer, Barking Deer, Chital, Marsh Crocodile, Indian Python, Indian Cobra, Grey-headed Fish Eagle, Crested Serpent Eagle, Peacock, Jewel Beetles, Wolf Spiders, etc.
Major attraction – You could also see the elusive Black Panther (Melanistic Leopard)
Pench National Park –
Rudyard Kipling’s Mowgli’s adventure and his battle with the furious Sher Khan is based on this very landscape in Madhya Pradesh. It is also interesting to know that the one best wildlife series so far, ‘Tiger : Spy in the Jungle’ is also filmed in Pench National Park.
A magnificent expanse in Maharashtra/Madhya Pradesh, Pench Tiger Reserve , though it is a Tiger territory but it also shelters dense population of chetal, followed by leopard, sambhar, Indian Bison, barking deer, Indian Jackals, Jungle Cat, and migratory birds like Malabar pied horn bills, Indian Pitta, Osprey and a variety of Eagles and Owls.
Major attraction – You could also see the elusive Black Panther (Melanistic Leopard) Pench is home to 2 Black Panthers.
